Google's gift: free Wi-Fi at 2 Montana airports

Associated Press - November 11, 2009 1:04 AM ET

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) - Travelers passing through airports in Billings and Bozeman will not have to pay for wireless Internet over the next two months as part of a holiday promotion sponsored by the Internet search giant Google.

Gallatin Field and Billings Logan International Airport are the only two airports in Montana to be chosen for the promotion, which Google is calling a gift to the estimated 100 million people who will pass through the country's airports this holiday season.

Users will have the option of donating money to a handful of causes when they log on, and Google will match the donations made across all the networks up to $250,000.

The promotion includes 47 airports nationwide and will end Jan. 15.
