HAMILTON, Mont. (AP) - Ravalli County officials have confirmed that human remains found on a mountaintop in western Montana belong to a Wyoming man who was reported missing in September.

Sheriff Chris Hoffman says the remains of 44-year-old Barry M. Ford of Tensleep, Wyo., were found by rock climbers on Nov. 3. His body was found a short distance from his last known camp site, about 12 miles southwest of Darby.

Ford was last seen in mid-September and was reported missing on Sept. 25.
