Idaho is not too proud of its designation as the 10th highest in the nation when it comes to suicide rates per capita. That's why Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello is letting people know, suicide is never the answer.

The statistics really are startling, approximately 90 Americans take their own lives everyday, but Portneuf Medical Center is hoping to diminish those numbers.  PMC is participating in a National Survivors of Suicide day. Portneuf is just one of many sites across America that will be participating in a simultaneous national telecast this Saturday.  The idea behind it is to reach out to those who have lost loved ones to suicide.  The telecast will take place this Saturday at PMC's West Campus 651 Memorial Drive in the Willow Creek Auditorium from 10:45 to 12:30.  You can also watch the telecast live on the web at: www.afsp.org
