The POW*MIA gathered at the Pocatello Regional Airport Saturday afternoon. They were there along with friends and family of Idaho Marine Richard Mikesell to welcome him home.

Richard is home for 15 days to visit with his family after being stationed in Hawaii and serving in Iraq. He arrived at 12:30 and was greeted by parents, friends and others. Richard will be going back to Hawaii after spending two weeks with his family in Idaho. He is a 2007 graduate of Highland High School in Pocatello.

Richard Mikesell, U.S. Marine: "A lot of things. I was looking at options for what I was going to go after high school and I really wanted something that was going to be active, stable for me, and put structure in my life and the Marines definitely did that for me."

Richard is returning to Hawaii to resume training. This past year, he was deployed to Iraq and is expected to again be deployed in 2010. He will be teaching a Middle Eastern Culture class at Highland High while in Idaho.
