Summer Joy

Summer was born and raised in Hemet, California. During her freshman year in high school her family moved to Rigby, Idaho. While in Idaho she participated in 4-H, Ballet, and many extracurricular actives. During her junior and senior high school years she participated in two Youth Mission projects, first going to Mexico and then traveling to the most eastern point of the United States, St. Croix US Virgin Islands. While in St. Croix, Summer met her husband who quickly decided that Idaho had a better Summer than the Virgin Islands. He moved to Idaho, and two years later they were married on August 8, 2008.
Summer graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelor in Mass Communication with an emphasis in Television & Broadcasting and a minor in Political Science. While attending Idaho State University Summer worked as a reporter for the newly created Idaho State of Mind, which is a state wide show that aired on PBS.
Reporting for Idaho State of Mind honed Summer’s reporting, video editing, and interviewing skills. Summer is looking forward to bringing you all the latest news in Southeast Idaho and hopefully can make your day a little brighter.
