Idaho State Police say another routine traffic stop on Interstate 86 lead troopers to nearly 90 lbs. of marijuana.
ISP conducted the traffic stop Wednesday, just before 9 a.m., on a silver 2002 Toyota Highlander near American Falls.
The truck was headed east and was stopped for a traffic violation. The driver was identified as Antonio Alvarez-Contreras, 51, of Gaston, Oregon.
Pursuant to the traffic stop, about 89.9 pounds of suspected marijuana was found and seized.
Alvarez-Contreras' 2002 Toyota Highlander was also seized. Alvarez-Contreras was booked into the Power County Jail where he was charged with trafficking a controlled substance.
The marijuana has a street value of $180,000.
