Another Traffic Stop Yields Marijuana

A California man is in custody on felony drug trafficking charges after a routine stop on Interstate 86 in Bannock County.

According to Sheriff Lorin Nielsen, deputies stopped Nicholas A. Hulett for speeding late Wednesday. When deputies were questioning Hulett, they were able to smell marijuana and he consented to a search. In the process of searching the vehicle, deputies found roughly 2.5 pounds of suspected marijuana in the trunk.

Hulett was booked into the Bannock County jail. His bond has been set at $25,000.
