With the start of this improving economy local businesses are starting to not only gain some of their momentum back, but to grow. You might have seen some new construction and remodeling on an old building on Yellowstone highway in Pocatello; this is due to a local store outgrowing their current location.
The construction work is in progress and the manager of Barrie's Ski and Sports, Jonathon Hunt, says this store should be ready to go by the end of August.
"We are moving because we grew out of our last building and we are trying to get into a little bit of a bigger building to help support the local economy and the local people for their outdoor sporting goods," said Jonathon Hunt, the Manager for Barrie's Ski and Sports.
They opened their doors in 2001, moved shop to Yellowstone highway in 2007 and now six years later they are moving across the street to an even bigger location.
"To be able to serve our customers a little better with backroom service with bicycle cleanups and ski and snowboard tune ups," added Hunt.
This new store will offer the same great outdoor gear, along with more selections and with more space Hunt says it will make it easier to better serve their customers and their ski's, snowboards, or bikes.
"The more you support the community, the more the community support you. Barrie's is a big advocate in supporting the community and the community returns the support very well and we are very grateful," said Hunt.
Hunt says they are scheduled to open by the end of this summer and for more information you visit them online at www.barriessports.com
