About a month ago a fire broke out in the service department at Bish’s RV in Idaho Falls. The company was closed for the rest of that day as
it tried to recover.
We spoke to Bish’s RV to see how they’ve recovered since the fire, here’s what they had to say.
“The biggest issue has been smoke damage to the building, there was very little, there’s no structural damage, very little reconstruction
damage, but most of it has been smoke damage that we’ve done and dealt with” said President of Bish’s RV Troy Jenkins.
Now all you can see is a little bit of damage to the outside of the building; but employees at Bish’s have been moving fast and they’ve opened back up and are servicing their customers.
“The biggest thing for us is getting the community support, people just coming by and saying how’s it going or are you ok, or wanting to see what happened, so there’s been a huge community help coming to see and help out” continued Jenkins.
Despite the challenge of dealing with a fire, Bish’s RV says this has actually turned into an opportunity.
“It’s actually going to turn out to be something that’s good for us, actually our service is at an off-site location now, we’re going to take this opportunity to upgrade our building, make it bigger, add some service space so we can service our customers better” said Jenkins.
Bish’s RV is getting ready for an RV show that starts next week.
The employees at Bish’s RV want to thank the community of Idaho Falls and all their help in getting them back to speed.
