On November 03, 2013 hunters came upon bones in the American Falls reservoir. These bones were sent to the state pathologist in Boise who has positively identified them as the remains of Charles W. Knippe.

Knippe’s boat was found on June 14, 2009 and his body was never recovered. The bones were found in the same area as his bass boat was found.

Charles Knippe was scheduled to return from a fishing trip in June 2009, but his wife reported that he never came home. He was 38-years-old at the time of his disappearance.

Next of kin have been notified on the Sheriff’s Office findings.
