The high school basketball season will soon be over and that means a lot of schools are celebrating their seniors. This tradition took on even more meaning last night in Rigby as a cheerleader’s boyfriend thought it was the opportune time to change his title to fiancé.
Shad Keele took a knee in front of the thousands of people at last night’s game and asked his girlfriend to marry him. Stetson said yes and the student section erupted with excitement.
We caught up with the love birds shortly after the big news.
“I was way surprised,” said Stetson Rigoulot. “I actually cried. It was pretty crazy.”
“Her family knew about it but no one else knew,” said Shad Keele “I was trying to keep it a secret. I wanted everyone to be shocked about it. I wanted her to cry, was my goal and I accomplished it.”
Stetson and Shad plan on moving to Arizona in May.
