Car vs. Motorcycle Crash North of Chubbuck

Idaho State Police responded to a crash around 6:30PM Wednesday evening a the intersection of Hiline Road and Tyhee Road north of Chubbuck.

Troopers say Lynnsie Togiai, 20, of Blackfoot, was headed north on Hiline in a Toyota Yaris. At the same time Michael Deschamps, 51, of Pocatello, was headed south on a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle.  Togiai was turning left onto Tyhee but police say she failed to yield to oncoming traffic and the motorcycle struck the passenger side of the car.

Deschamps was not wearing a helmet. He was taken to Portneuf Regional Medical Center. It is unknown if Togiai was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The crash is under investigation by The Idaho State Police.
