Cardon's Car wash in Idaho Falls is trying to not only keep your car clean, but also raise money to make a difference.  Last June the Cardon Family visited Ecuador to work in orphanages with an international nonprofit Dando Amor.  Mathew Cardon, the owner of the family business, knew when they left that they had to do more. Summer Joy stopped by to get the details.

"They've been abused or their parents are in prison or something else. Once you start to hear the stories of what these kids have gone through, it just touches your heart and you want ot be able to help them. You want to do everything you can to support them," said Matthew Cardon, the owner of Cardon's Car Wash.

For the next two days, March 13th and 14th, Cardon's Car Wash is giving 100 percent of thier net proceeds of any exterior car wash to the nonprofit Dando Amor.

It's that time of year when many of us start to think about getting our cars washed, the Cardon's Car Wash is asking why not do it for a good cause. They are trying to raise $10 thousand dollars to help provide food, clothing, and basic essentials for children in need in Ecuador.

"We are so bless in this country and so to be able to give back to someone that doesn't have the ability to provide for themselves; we just felt like it was a great opportunity to be able to do that," added Cardon.

This organization focuses on building schools, fixing and repairing roofs, purchasing beds and thousands of dollars goes towards food and clothing.

"They went to a boy's orphanage and all the boys were sleeping on a concrete floor. There was 40 children and so they were able to raise money and buy each child a bed," said Cardon.
Matt and his sons are leaving next week to Ecuador to make sure the funds get there and are all invested in helping these kids.

Cardon continued to say, "I just hope we can just bring a lot of comfort to a lot of children. These kids don't have a mom and dad to tuck them in at night or read them a story and every little bit we can do to cheer them up or give service; I don't speak their language, but the language of love is spoken in all languages."

Exterior car washes start around $5.99 and if you would like to donate you can go to their Facebook page, Cardon's Car Wash, for more information.
