If you’re thinking of things to do this weekend you can head over to Rexburg for the Madison County Fair, not only is it the fair but it’s also part of the Madison County Centennial Celebration.
The fair is a good time to kick back and relax; and this year volunteers at the Madison County Fair are helping residents do just that.
“We probably have 20 to 25 volunteers that actually works on the fair and we try out very best to do it for nothing, sometimes it’s not easy, but we do, we try to put this on as economically as we can” said Chairman of the Fair Committee Bob Carlson.
This year the fair has everything from rides; to commercial vendors; to art displays; and much more.
The entrance is free and there are shows, acts and performances every night; along with good food.
“It’s pretty big this year because of our centennial; the centennial has put together a lot of really neat stuff” continued Carlson.
“It’s awesome to see all the community gathering and get to see all the friends” said fair volunteer Alysa Ricks.
On Saturday night the bands Starship and Sawyer Brown will be performing. It’s $45 for the tickets online and will be $55 at the door.
“It’s awesome that they get to see both of the concerts for just the $45, normally each concert would be $45 individually” continued Ricks.
The fair will end on Saturday night with a firework show.
The fair starts every day at 9 a.m. and closes at 9 p.m.
