Superintendent of schools Tom Luna recently proposed six administrative rule changes that he hopes will improve Idaho's Public Education System.

These proposed changes are open for public comment so now is your chance to weigh in before they return to the state board of education for final approval in November.

The six proposed rule changes vary from adjustments to physical education requirements and math and science course offerings, to adding cursive writing in elementary grades, along with endorsement and standard requirements for Idaho teachers, and a mathematics in-service program.

The Department of Education encourages anyone with an interest in education to review these proposed changes. You can submit your feedback either on the website, in writing, or at a public hearing on October 8th in Boise.
