An argument over copper lands one man in the hospital and another in jail.

Bonneville County Sheriff's Deputies were called to the Hatch Pit, 395 E 33 N, Monday evening.

When detectives arrived, they found Dwight Wilkinson, 73, injured inside the business. Wilkinson told police he had been collecting metal to recycle when he started arguing with Gary Fichthorn, 65.

Deputies believe that's when Fichthorn picked up a piece of aluminum door frame and hit Wilkinson in the left arm, knocking him to the ground. Fichthorn then hit Wilkinson in the face.
Wilkinson was treated at the scene by Idaho Falls paramedics. He was later transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center by private vehicle.

Fichthorn was booked into the Bonneville County Jail for felony aggravated battery.
