Let's talk about the definition of "being able to afford health insurance" - My family has a mortgage, car payments, credit card payments, and standard utilities/living expenses. We do NOT have a savings account and we DO live pay check to pay check. Under this system, we do not qualify for assistance, and the exchange "estimate" of insurance is double when is offered at my husbands' work. So, they are going to DUMP this mandatory requirement on many others - just like me - who cannot "AFFORD" it - where are we going to pull 1000 bucks a month out of our rear ends? It is a very BAD deal - great concept, but it's not going to work like their rose colored glasses are showing them.
