Fire crews responded to reports of a structure fire around 1:10 Thursday morning at a home in the 4600 block of 9 North in Idaho Falls.

When crews arrived, the home had already been evacuated by deputies from the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office.

The fire was contained to a three car garage and crews accessed the home by cutting through the garage door. Crews found the fire had proceeded into the attic above the garage.

Crews were eventually able to extinguish the blaze.

No injuries were reported by the occupants, but one firefighter slipped on some ice and broke his wrist.

Fire Chief Dean Ellis says the cause of the fire is still under investigation and there is no estimate of total damage to the home.
