STORY BY MATT GITTINS

Elder Nate Martin of Blackfoot continues to improve after being involved in a bicycle vs automobile accident last week in Jamaica.  Martin is serving in the country as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Martin's mother Kimra tells Matt Gittins after hearing of the accident they flew to Jamaica looking for a miracle. Nate spent eight days at the University of the West Indies hospital where he endured brain surgery.  Initial reports indicated he would not make it but his condition continues to improve and his mother says it looks like they will get the miracle they were hoping for.

Elder Martin will meet with doctors on Monday to determine if he is well enough to fly home.  His doctors say they feel like Nate will make a full recovery.

The family says they would like to once again thank the community for keeping their son in their prayers.
