Facebook, Twitter, and certain websites across the globe are connecting friends, loved ones, and family members. One family in Pocatello experienced just that, this last month. Summer Joy sat down with them to hear about their journey through this process.
"It's just been very emotional. There are no words, but we are very grateful that our God has brought us this peace. He has fulfilled our hearts," said Anna Bosquez, Sister to the new found family members.
Finding their family in Texas has been 53 years in the making. Three years ago though Bianca Bosquez started using Ancestry.com.
"Ancestry.com has been the best thing has been the best thing that has happened to us because we finally found them. I would just tell people don't give up hope. You can find them," said Bianca Bosquez, niece to the new found family members.
She said her grandfather who passed away in December of 2010 always talked about this son and daughter and wondered where and how they were doing. On May 6, 2013 she received a text message from one of the family members in Texas.
"I got the chills. I knew right away, no doubt. It was the weirdest feeling. It was amazing though," added Bianca Bosquez.
"I'm so excited, it's been over fifty years. It's just amazing how something can come out like that. We get to talk to them, text them, it's really the best feeling," said Janet Luna.
The family said this has been quite the journey; it took a lot of resources and work, but was completely worth it.
"We never gave up hope and look where it got us. Our Lord brought us to them and we have been blessed and we love them and I know they love us," added Anna Bosquez.
Since finding their family members they haven't stopped sending pictures or texting. They had just one thing left to say for the new found family members.
"We love you and hope to see you soon. Houston here we come!" added the family.
The family says their next step is working out the logistics to find out how they can get down to Houston, Texas and they have a goal, now that they have located them, to never lose touch again.
