Talking with Matthew Hunter, the executive director for the Chambers, he said this was planned to be one of their largest events, with about 400 people planning to attend.
"I always like to come out and support it. It's really fun, and the live auction is lots of fun. They have some great stuff you can bid on. And the entertainment is wonderful, and so it's just a great event," said Tenae Simpson, a Supporter.
This event included dinner, dancing, an auction, and great entertainment.
"The chamber raises about half its money from dues from our members and the other half is from the events we put on. So we do a bunch of events throughout the course of the year to raise money so we can operate the chamber," said Matthew Hunter.
Hunter said there goal tonight is to raise 15 thousand dollars. The money raised for the chamber will help go towards advocacy for the state legislature, beautification projects around town, and a variety of projects that the chamber works on. The chamber of Commerce and guests all of have hopes that this money will help continue to stimulate the Chubbuck and Pocatello economy.
"I think our economy is doing great, and I think Pocatello has some great things going on and a lot of great things ahead," added Simpson.
Hunter continues to say the Pocatello Chamber of Commerce couldn't do any of this without the support of this community.
"We just appreciate the community coming out, supporting us, our sponsors who buy tables and our major sponsors for this event help us out. We appreciate all of them," said Hunter.
"I just think if you've never been before you should just come, and come next year because it's a great night out," said Simpson.
