Over a month ago, the popular Bengal statue greeting visitors to Reed Gym on the Idaho State University campus was removed. Leaving visitors to look elsewhere to get their oversized tiger fix.

Now, they need to look no further than the corner of Center and Seventh Streets in Pocatello.

As part of the company's Welcome Back Orange and Black decorations, Gate City Real Estate lowered a well-over life-sized Bengal statue on to the roof of the business.

Gordon Wilks, Owner of Gate City Real Estate, says the cat will stay up until Homecoming and that the display is just part of a pride in the Bengals that goes back to the 1960's.

"I graduated from Idaho State University, my children are graduates of Idaho State, so Idaho State University has been an important part in my life and it's contributed a lot to whatever success I may have achieved," said Wilks. "I’m grateful for the contributions that the students and staff at Idaho State have made over the years."

Wilks also said he plans to make the display a yearly tradition.
