The classic baseball tune, Take Me Out To The Ball Park, set the scene as adoring fans met their heros. They are players and a team the participants at the New Day Products have been working hard to support.
"We actually made a lot of shirts for the team and we have been supporting them and we are really grateful to have them come here to New Day and so I am just really excited for them to come and support New Day and so we are supporting them too," says Heather Hess, New Day.
"They look around and say, I made that, and the civic pride and just the amount of pride that comes over them, knowing that is one of their shirts, or that's one of their buttons, or that's one of their hats. They get so excited to see that," says CEO of New Day Products and Owner of Gate City Grays, Terry Fredrickson.
"It makes me really excited to see them wearing it and supporting us and it's very warming to know tha they are supporting the teams and stuff," says Hess.
The first pitch in the first home game will be thrown Friday night, but Thursday afternoon wasn't about the action between the lines, just smiles a mile wide connecting the many pieces of this puzzle to help the Grays become a success.
"I have really awesome bosses to help me and I am really grateful for my bosses to help me and support me when I need them, and very blessed to work for them," concluded Hess.
The first game will be held Friday June 6th against the Hyrum Hornets at 7:30pm at Halliwell Park.
