Idaho Falls Police issued a "Code Red" alert Sunday morning in the Skyline area over concern about a man believed to be armed with a gun and making threats.

A woman called police to say that Andrew Todd Ellis had threatened her and broken beer bottles against the front door.  The caller also believed that Ellis had a gun.

When police arrived at the home, Ellis was gone.  Police say Ellis called the victim several times, including once when they were at the home, and made threats that he was going to shoot someone.

Officers searched the area for Ellis and even called him on the phone. He was taken into custody, with some resistance, at Olympia and Washburn Ave. He did not have a gun at the time of arrest.

He was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for a medical clearance.

Then Ellis was booked into the Bonneville County Jail on charges of disturbing the peace, resisting and obstructing officers and unlawful entry.
