A homeless man was arrested Saturday night after police say he stole items from an Idaho Falls convenience store.

Officers say they were dispatched to the Maverik in the 2600 block of West Broadway. Witnesses said 37-year-old Rolando Colon-Cacho stole several items before leaving the store.

Officers later found Colon-Cacho going through a car in a parking lot in the 2300 block of West Broadway. In the process of being arrested, police found Colon-Cacho to be intoxicated and in possession of a marijuana pipe.

He was charged with petit theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, and public intoxication and was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
