Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter has named Idaho Falls attorney Alan Stephens to a new judgeship in the Seventh Judicial District.

According to a news release from the Governor’s office, Stephens was one of three candidates submitted by the Idaho Judicial Council for the job. The position was created last winter by the Idaho Legislature.

Stephens lives in Ammon and has been a partner with Thomsen Stephens Law Office since 1990. The Seventh Judicial District serves Jefferson County and is based in Rigby.
