Idaho State University's Women's Basketball team started official practices this week, and has several new faces. This season is going to be a tough one on the road for the team playing 9 away games in a row only 2 weeks into the season. The team also has 7 freshman on the roster. The good news is that even though it's a young team, the new faces are bringing new energy, adding talent and learning quickly.
"So it's been a little bit of a struggle getting them on pace but they’re picking up and with the first practice yesterday we actually had a really good practice and they were doing really well," said senior guard Kara Jenkins.
Coach Seton Sobolewski commented: "It's a process. You can't do it one practice, you can't do it one film session. It's when we have practice, we go hard. We don't let little things set us back. We stay focused and it comes in time."
It did help that the NCAA allowed 8 weeks of practice this summer, the extra time in the weight room and on the court jump started the freshman and had the team ready to work when official practices started.
