Whether it’s in the budget or not, many Americans like the thrill of looking at new homes. This particular weekend is probably one of the busiest for these on-lookers as Idaho Falls kicks off its 2013 Parade of Homes.
This brand new home is attracting a lot of attention….from its master bedroom to its kid’s playroom….everything inside is finished and ready to go.
“You know it’s really exciting, we’ve done this every year, and it’s a great thing for the community I think and for all the local builders to be able to showcase what you can do and some of the different ideas that you have” said Construction Manager for Kartchner Homes, Tyson Allen.
This home took 90 days to build and comes to a total cost of about $350,000. It’s one of the show homes that doesn’t have an owner.
“This is actually a brand new plan that we have this year, this is the first one that we’ve built, its 2256 sq. ft. on the main and then the same in the basement, it’s all finished” continued Allen.
This year’s Parade of Homes has a total of 14 houses to show off….most of them are located in the Idaho Falls and Ammon areas.
“There’s a lot of really good builders in this area and it keeps, I think it keeps us all competitive and it keeps us all on our toes, it’s great to see what the other builders are doing too and get some ideas and see what direction they’re headed” said Allen.
