Administration positions are important at any university, that’s why Idaho State wants the students and faculty to meet the two final candidates for the Provost position that has opened up.
Dr. Rodney Miller made his first of many appearances at an Idaho State University campus today.
“Well I’m very impressed with the campus and the programs that are here, I know that there’s an interest in partnership with University of Idaho which is also part of this campus, and I’m very anxious to learn a lot more in terms of the details of all of the programs that are going on here” said Miller.
Miller is currently the dean of fine arts at Wichita State University in Kansas. He has something he wants east Idahoans to know: “I’m very excited to have been chosen as a finals and I’m very thrilled to be here and I’m very anxious to go to the other campuses and see what else Idaho State has to offer.”
The other finalist is Dr. Laura Woodworth-Ney.
She will begin her visits to university campuses on April 15th. She is currently the associate vice-president for academic affairs at Idaho State University.
Both candidates will continue to meet with students and faculty in open forums until April 18th.
