Infant Dies after Being Left in Vehicle

A 21-month-old baby is dead after deputies say she was left in a vehicle.

Officers with the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call in reference to CPR in progress in the 600 block of South Belle Arbor Drive in Ammon around 5:15 Tuesday afternoon. Deputies say the 21-month-old child was left in the vehicle, and when it was realized, paramedics were called and CPR was started. The child was transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Detectives are continuing their investigation into the incident and an autopsy has been scheduled.
