There are less than 24 hours before the fate of the Idaho education laws are decided.  Millions of dollars have been spent by those who are for; as well as those who are against Propositions 1, 2 and 3.We spoke to residents who have seen ads and billboards about the props to see if this effort has influenced their decision.

“Maybe somewhat, it’s made me a little bit more aware which is the biggest thing, of what’s going on and I think it has had somewhat of an impact on my decision” said Heath Haws.

“Well you know, I’m actually in marketing so I enjoy the commercials and things like that and I see how they do affect us and they do educate us, they are bias sometimes, you know obviously depending on who’s putting it on but they definitely inform us on what’s happening, and it has, it has affected me” said Bowdrie Price.

One of the big companies who has publicly endorsed Props 1, 2 and 3 is Melaleuca.

I sat down with CEO Frank VanderSloot to discuss why he and other supporters of Props 1, 2 and 3 have put forth over $2 Million towards the Props.

“I don’t know of a more worthwhile investment than the future of our children, they will be the ones in charge after we’re gone, and to have them educated and to have them be able to compete globally with the jobs around the world, this is a global economy now, there’s no denying that Idaho kids have to compete globally and I can’t imagine a more worthwhile investment, so for us it’s worth every penny” said VanderSloot.

While $2 Million is a lot, the union has forked over $4 Million to try and get Idaho resident’s votes.

In the end, is it all worth it?

“I’m definitely probably undecided still, I need to look into it a little bit more before voting on it, but with all the things that I’ve seen it’s definitely given me an understanding of what it is, but as of now I don’t have a decision right now or a direction I want to go with right now” continued Haws.

“I’m leaning towards the props, I’m not fully decided, I’m still open just in case something ever happened but I definitely am leaning towards them” continued Price.

Whether you are sure of your decisions or still want to do some more research, be sure to hit the polls.
