Murder Suspect Charged with Battery in Jail

A woman charged with first degree murder now faces an additional charge after getting into an altercation with another inmate.

Josephine Theboy was charged Tuesday with a misdemeanor count of battery.

According to the Bannock County Sheriff's Office, Theboy was being transported back to her cell after a video conference when the altercation began.

Theboy was charged with first degree homicide, burglary and robbery in relation to the death of Martin Anderton in early may.

Deputies were able to quickly seperate the two inmates and decided to file the new charge against theboy.
She will be back in court on the murder charge on july 7th for a preliminary hearing.
