For some, the new Hawthorne Gardens Apartments, may be the perfect place to live, work, and play. According to Property Manager, Jared Barton, they have one building finished and already occupied by renters, and by the completion of the project there will be a total of 150 units with a waiting list of people wanting a place of their own.
"It seems to be something that everyone is interested in. I haven't found anything in the area that offers a luxury apartment community of this size and this scale,” says Property Manager, Jared Barton.
Rose Miles, a renter herself says that finding the right rental property can be a challenge.
"Especially if you have family, little children that you want to be able to play outside, pets, so sometimes it can be difficult,” says local renter, Rose Miles.
One thing renters look for is an all in one package, which includes a pet friendly community.
"What is included in the rent, your utilities, like this place in particular, you have your gym in one payment, so you don't have to pay a separate gym fee on top of your rent,” says Miles.
Speaking of a gym, places like Hawthorne Gardens offer a 24 hour fitness center on top of all the other amenities like, swimming pool, hot tub, basketball court, picnic and grilling area, just to name a few and they help take away some of the headaches that homeowners have to deal with.
"As a renter it's nice to have the management if your water heater goes out, they are responsible for it, as a homeowner, you have to purchase that,” added Miles.
"We just feel we have a good quality option for good apartment living here in Pocatello, at a good location,” says Co-Owner and General Contractor of Hawthorne Gardens, Scott Harris.
Hawthorne Gardens should be completed with all 150 units ready to move into by middle of July.
