A local business is helping a little boy’s wish come true. Scottie is facing a very uncertain future as he battles a rare disease. In fact he’s in the early stages of dementia right now.
Smith RV in Idaho Falls is going to be helping Scottie cross off an item from a bucket list he’s made.
“Scotty had it on his bucket list to travel across country in a motor home, and we’d like to see what we can do to help” said Rental Manager Skip Wolfe.
Scottie loves to travel and his parents thought an R.V. trip would be the perfect scenario to help him feel like he’s getting away for a while.
Smith RV has decided to donate a motor home to the family to do just that.
“It’s always a good feeling, especially for a company our size, to be able to help somebody out, especially in this condition and these circumstances” continued Wolfe.
Smith RV is going more than just above and beyond donating a motor home, they’re also trying to come up with the funds to pay for gas and other expenses the family might need during their trip.
“They can drop any donations which are greatly appreciated by Smith RV on the corner of Hitt and Lincoln” said Wolfe.
Scottie’s mother appreciates what the company is doing for her son.
In a letter, she says: “not knowing what the future holds, I so much want Scottie to have joyous days and meaningful memories to take into wherever the future brings.”
