With all these changes in the health care reform, representatives of Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg thought it would be a good idea to address some of the issues and inform the public about the changes that will be happening.
The meeting was held at the Rexburg Chamber of Commerce office where CEO of Madison Memorial Rachel Gonzales as well as Kent Vernon and Douglas McBride spoke to those present.
They spoke about how important it is for hospitals, physicians and insurance companies to work together for the people.
Also, how employers need to be aware and start thinking about offering insurance to their employees or not offering it and going with the exchange instead.
“The main point again behind all of this, you know the Supreme Court has made the ruling on this, the President is now in and he’s elected, we’re going to go with this, this is what we have now to live under, and so we’re going to do our best to figure out the best method we can do it” said Douglas McBride.
The speakers from Madison Memorial encouraged those present to speak out to their law makers.
