A fight over a dog kennel lands one man in jail facing serious charges.

Officers arrested Michael Bemis on charges of aggravated assault and use of a deadly weapon stemming from an incident that happened on June 28.

Police say a man and woman had been arguing over a dog kennel at a home in the 1200 block of Bear Ave.  The man left the home but later returned.  That's when Bemis answered the door with a shotgun in his hands. Bemis then made a verbal threat and pointed the shotgun at the man as he was walking away.

A warrant was later issued and Bemis was arrested in Jefferson County.

Bemis was booked into the Bonneville County Jail on August 31st.
