Melaleuca Unveils New Headquarters

Melaleuca is not only selling to Idaho Falls, but now is making a ground breaking investment . Summer Joy has the details.

Melaleuca announces a new 371,000 square foot home office on the land they own on the outskirts of Idaho Falls, Let’s take a look.

43 acres out of the 195 acre property will be used for international and domestic operations, that includes, marketing, human resources, business development,
accounting, administration, research and development, among many other areas with this multi-million dollar company.

The new building will also include a 17,000 square feet event center and a 500 person call center. VanderSloot said that this will create many different job opportunities, from marketing and management to packaging and shipping.

“We are just really having a great time building what we think someday will be a great business located here with headquarters in Idaho falls and Bonneville county,” said Frank VanderSloot, CEO of Melaleuca. 
 
He also shared that Melaleuca takes care of their employees; the building will include a service center for workers. That means if people need dare care, errands run, or to work out at the building’s gym, Melaleuca will be there. 

The company is already awarding construction work to local contractors. VanderSloot said this project wouldn’t be possible without southeast Idaho’s great work ethic and business friendly spirit.  

“The work ethic here in Idaho Falls and the business friendly spirit here in Southeast Idaho and in Bonneville count makes a huge difference to bringing healthy buisnesses here and makes a big difference to us,” added VanderSloot. 
 
Melaleuca expects the new office to be ready by spring of 2014.

VanderSloot also mentioned of another expansion nearby in a few years saying it is going to be a tourist attraction and people will want to stop and see what’s there.
