Middle school students at Midway Middle School in Rigby competed in an impressive geography bee today.

6th and 7th grade students took a test and whoever got the best scores got to compete in the geography bee.

All together there were 10 students competing.

7th grader Dalton Johnson was the winner of the geography bee.

He will be competing in the district tournament in Idaho Falls; if he does well; he will go to state.

Dalton told us what question was the most difficult for him to answer.

“Probably one about that lake in Kazakhstan and I had no idea what that was but luckily neither did my competitor.”

The state level bee will be on April 5th at Boise State University.
