October is Domestic Violence Awareness month, and to celebrate the Family Services Alliance received a big gift.
The Pocatello Women's Cycling Club presented an $11,000.00 check to the Family Services Alliance today. The check came as a result of the club's Spinderella fundraiser last June. The FSA has big plans on how to spend the money, and they are sure it will go a long way.
"This can help actually fund the sheltering of about 100 to 125 women and children over a year. So that's huge," said Sarah Leeds, Executive Director of the FSA.
The Family Services Alliance also plans to use some of the money to fund counseling for victims of domestic violence and their children.
