A series of billboards promoting the campaign to bring Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl home are going up across the United States.

The latest is located just outside Detroit, Michigan.

It's part of the Bring Bowe Home Project and this isn't the first time billboards have been used to spread information about the POW.

U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl was captured by the Taliban in Afghanistan back in 2009.

Since then, people from across the United States have held rallies and events to support Sgt. Bergdahl and his family.

Two Marine veterans started the Bring Bowe Home Project in 2012.

It's a non-profit dedicated to telling the POW's story and raising awareness about his situation.

According to the Bring Bowe Home Project website, more billboards featuring Sgt. Bergdahl will be erected in Virginia, North Carolina and California.
