Cold sores and canker sores can cause a lot of pain, but now a new technology has been introduced to the Idaho Falls area that not only eliminates these sores but also the pain that comes with them.
Park West Dental Care is one of a few dental offices in the country that is offering laser dentistry to get rid of cold sores.
They say the results are really fast and the procedure only takes about 5 minutes.
The dental office urges anyone with a cold or canker sore to call in as soon as they notice it.
“So you can, you can wait out a cold sore, it’ll take about 2 weeks to heal, you can buy over the counter medications, it will cost you anywhere from $50 to $100, maybe as high as $200 for a little tube of cream, and the laser cold sore treatment is $49” said Dr. James Drake.
Many patients who have gotten the laser treatment say they haven’t seen any cold sores pop up since.
