With temperatures forecasted to be in the mid-50s by the middle part of the week, many of us will want to be outside. The fix for this itch might just be in Blackfoot which now includes the hours after you are done with work.
There is no arguing the fact that light has had a major impact on our quality of life and now it’s illuminating a popular walking path in Blackfoot.
The new lighting allows users to access the area during every hour of the day. It also has motion detectors which will illuminate the path as you make your way around the lake.
The lights also add a layer of security to the area while bringing this resource to users who might not otherwise have the opportunity.
The project is being paid for by Urban Renewal Agency and not from the city’s general fund.
City crews are still working on this project and they hope to have the entire walking path around the lake illuminated sometime next week.
