Old Town Pocatello is in need of a Christmas tree.

The tree will serve as the community tree and be lit during the Night of 1000 Santas.

All the organization asks is that the tree be one that a local resident no longer wants on their property and is no more than 8 inches in diameter.

The City of Pocatello Parks and Recreation Department will come and take the perfect conifer for free and Stephanie Palagi, Executive Director for Old Town Pocatello says a simple evergreen can mean many things for the area.

“The tree symbolizes our community and the importance of working together and keeping business local and shopping local and the charm of our downtown,” Palagi said.

If you have a tree that you think might fit the bill you can contact Old Town Pocatello at 232-7545
