A Rigby man is dead following a car crash late Sunday night south of Downey.
According to Idaho State Police, 20-year-old Guy ‘Clancey” Rinderknecht was traveling southbound on US 91 in a 1995 GMC Jimmy when he drove off the road, overcorrected, and rolled. The vehicle then became engulfed in flames.
Also in the vehicle were passengers 21-year-old Odell ‘Joe’ Rinderknecht of Rigby and 81-year-old Celia Z. Bennett of Logan, Utah. Joe Rinderknecht was able to extricate himself and Bennett from the vehicle.
