Two Idaho Falls residents were arrested before noon Saturday after police say they were involved in stealing a vehicle.

Just after 11:35 Saturday morning, officers stopped a Chevrolet Suburban driven by 22-year-old Travis L. Peasley at the intersection of Gladstone and Higbee in Idaho Falls. Police determined the vehicle had been reported stolen early that morning and officers believe that both Johnson and his passenger, 22-year-old Jenesa L. Johnson, had been involved in the theft of the vehicle.

Both Peasley and Johnson have been charged with grand theft. Peasley is also facing possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, petit theft, and concealment of evidence charges. Johnson has also been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor injury to a child.

Both were booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
