The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a plane making an emergency landing in a field.

Sheriff Blair Olsen says the plane landed around 5:30PM between 4000 E. 4100 E. County Line Road.

Richard L. Savold took off from the Rigby Airport in his 1957 Piper Super Cub. Shortly after takeoff, Richard experienced engine trouble causing his engine to stall. Richard was unable to get his engine started again and was forced to land in the field. Olsen says there were no injuries or property damage during the emergency landing.
