The City of Pocatello's Sanitation Department announced Wednesday they have run out of the free compostable leaf bags.

People are encouraged to check local stores for these types of bags.
The compostable bags are important for the change to the City's annual leaf collection program. Leaves placed in compostable bags will be taken to the Bannock County Landfill's composting site.

Leaves in regular plastic garbage sacks will be taken to the Landfill for disposal with regular garbage.

Citizens are again reminded that the collection timeframe is shortened this year. Collection will begin Monday, November 11, 2013 with the last day being Friday, November 22, 2013.
