A local man escaped injury in an accident early Thursday morning.

Troopers with the Idaho State Police say Darren J. Giesbrecht, 33, of Pocatello was travelling westbound in I-86 around 4:00 a.m. in an 2004 Kenworth truck hauling farm waste when the truck left the roadway and hit a guardrail near milepost 52. The semi overturned and blocked the westbound lanes of I-86. Giesbrecht was wearing a seatbelt and was uninjured.

One lane is currently blocked while crews work to clean up the scene.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
