Pocatello Police were called to the 400 block of Willard late Monday night in reference to a shots fired report.
A witness flagged down officers as they arrived and notified them of a white four-door car speeding off north on Willard and then east on Poplar.
Detectives searched the area and found two 9mm shell casings on Willard. One was located in the 400 block and the second was discovered in the 500 block.
Police checked several residences and vehicles and were not able to locate any damage.
No arrests have been made at this time.
