John Regetz, the Executive Director of The Bannock Develope Corporation explained that, "Convergence of transportation structure, two interstates intersect here, which is the only place in Idaho where that happens. We have a class One rail road here as well and we have Idaho State University. We're also not heavily regulated like other states, or heavily taxed like other states. we have that ability then for businesses to grow and locate and develop here."
I asked John what companies in Pocatello have helped foster a business friendly environment that could contribute to further growth.
"Obviously ON Semiconductor. They always have a strong component for employment in our community," Regetz said.
It appears that Pocatello is a location that is primed to grow even more moving forward
John noted that,"In the future of Pocatello. So we will continue to train and develop our workforce, have good sites available for companies to continue to support our businesses locally as well as new businesses coming in.
